This series derived from a creative practice I began years ago by collecting and photographing local seaweed and discarded plastic and became obsessed with the cohabitation of the forms. Now I use algae, sand, and grasses with found text on cyanotype to imprint my observations of the pandemic, climate crisis, and racial inequities.
Toned cyanotype made with seaweed inspired by COVID-19.
